You’ve been ERASED

I installed a trial version of an antivirus called NOD32. It was a 30 day trial before ka bumili kung magugustuhan mo o hindi. Pero when it expired on my PC, I have decided to uninstall it. I go to Control Panel/ Add Remove Progams and Uninstall it. Pero when I started removing it, the program refused. Ayaw ng NOD32 na alisin ko siya sa PC ko. This is not good and it forces you to buy kahit ayaw mo.

Siguro kailangan ko nang kumuha ng agent to Erased.

I started searching for a software that can force delete. I found one, named SmartyUninstaller. Ok siya and I want to retain this program sa akin pero you need to buy it. But when it comes to PC, I am not a compulsive buyer. I just weigh things kung kailangan ko and I have a motto that “there is always a way” sa PC World. Luckily, I have found Revo Uninstaller sa download.com and guess what? Its a freeware.

I installed it, then sabi ni Revo kay NOD…

Well kung anoman ang iyong reason for being abroad, I guess you will agree on what I will say na once na tumatagal ka na sa isang lugar na malayo sa bansa mo, one word would best describe what you are feeling…

Homesick.

Yup, it’s a reality and plastik lang ang magsasabing hindi niya nararamdaman ito. Or siguro wala siyang puso kaya wala siyang nararamdaman. Siempre, you miss so many things sa sarili mong bansa. Magmula sa iyong pamilya, mga kaibigan, special someone or your crush, your house, kwarto mo, damit mo, traffic sa Cubao, mga murang bilihin sa Quiapo at Divisoria, SM, Wanton Noodles ng Chowking, mga Koreanovela na dubbed sa tagalog, etc, etc…

Well kung ayaw mong tanggapin na homesick ka at malaOrocan na ang pagiging plastic mo, bahala ka sa buhay mo. Pero it’s a sure fact na mayroon kang namimiss. But this time, let me tell you a simple remedy that I always do.

I tuned in a Filipino channel called UNTV 37.

Yes, I watch UNTV on a daily basis and it’s free. I only need my PC and an internet connection and log on to untvweb.com.

Sa PC world, you need to constantly defrag your disk.

What is Defrag and why do I need to?

Ang hard disk ng bawat PC ay nangangailan ng constant defragmenting. Habang nagdadagdag ka ng nagdadagdag ng file sa iyong hard disk, nagiging more fragmented ang locations ng mga file. Ang heavily fragmented disk tends to slow and makes PC usage a nightmare sa bagal and glitches. In laymans term, hiwa-hiwalay ang location ng iyong mga file sa hard disk, making the pin of the disk, locate it longer. Once na nagdefrag ka ng iyong disk, hinihila niya ang halos lahat ng file sa isang location making it easier for your computer to locate files mechanically. Ayon sa Wiki:

In the context of administering computer systems, defragmentation is a process that reduces the amount of fragmentation in file systems. It does this by physically reorganizing the contents of the disk to store the pieces of each file close together and contiguously. It also attempts to create larger regions of free space using compaction to impede the return of fragmentation. Some defragmenters also try to keep smaller files within a single directory together, as they are often accessed in sequence.

Now the question is how do I defrag?

Method 1: Use the Properties of Your Local Disk
1.Open My Computer.
2.Right-click the local disk volume that you want to defragment, and then click Properties.
3.On the Tools tab, click Defragment Now.
4.Click Defragment

Kung matagal-tagal ka nang hindi nakakapagdefrag, start the process before ka matulog dahil matagal tagal ang aantayin mo bago matapos . Others do it on a weekly basis. Ok yun pero I advice you to do it committedly. Once na napabayaan mo ito o binalewala mo, your PC will slow down in the process making you less productive and boring.

Pero if you may ask me, I use the software Diskeeper 2007. It has an option called “Set and Forget.” Meaning once na nakaset na siya, everything works automatically without you having to worry about forgetting it.
